Title: What are thyroid diseases?
Thyroid diseases are the most common endocrine disorders worldwide. Thyroid diseases can be divided into functional disorders or structural disorders. The most prevalent functional disorder is hypothyroidism, followed by hyperthyroidism. The most significant structural disorder of the thyroid is thyroid nodules, which are benign in 95% of cases. The lecture aims to review thyroid disorders and provide a general overview of them.
