The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, through its Center for Special Studies and Programs and Sustainable Development Studies and Youth Capacity Building Program, in collaboration with Alamein International University (AIU), organized the Science Communication Forum (SciComm Nexus) on 28 January 2026, starting at 9:00 AM in the Great Hall of the Library’s Conference Center.
The forum aimed to emphasize the critical role of effective science communication in bridging the gap between the scientific community and the public. It also sought to promote innovative methods for presenting complex scientific concepts and to empower young researchers and content creators with the skills needed to make science more accessible and engaging
The forum’s sessions highlighted the importance of science communication in bridging the gap between academic research and society. The program featured a series of interactive lectures, including a session by Prof. Ramy Aziz, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology and Director of MARCK Research Hub, on the synergy between scientific research and communication. Additionally, Dr. Hany Zewail, a researcher at the University of California (UCSB) specializing in interdisciplinary studies, explored the "Dynamic Nature of Time" through a lens that combines science, music, and philosophy.
The event ended with a Science Communication Competition for Alamein International University students, featuring competitive presentations evaluated by a panel of distinguished academics and experts, followed by the announcement of winners and an awards ceremony celebrating the outstanding next generation of young science communicators.

نظّمت مكتبة الإسكندرية، من خلال مركز الدراسات والبرامج الخاصة وبرنامج دراسات التنمية المستدامة وبناء قدرات الشباب، وبالتعاون مع جامعة العلمين الدولية، ملتقى التواصل العلمي، وذلك يوم 28 يناير 2026، في تمام الساعة التاسعة صباحًا، بقاعة الكبرى بمركز المؤتمرات بمكتبة الإسكندرية.
هدف الملتقى إلى إبراز الدور الحيوي للتواصل العلمي الفعّال في سد الفجوة بين المجتمع العلمي والجمهور العام، وتشجيع تبنّي أساليب مبتكرة في عرض المفاهيم العلمية المعقدة. كما سعى إلى تمكين الباحثين الشباب وصنّاع المحتوى من اكتساب أدوات ومهارات تقديم العلوم بأساليب جذابة وتفاعلية.
افتُتحت فعاليات الملتقى بجلسات تناولت أهمية التواصل العلمي كأداة لربط البحث الأكاديمي بالمجتمع. وتضمن البرنامج سلسلة من المحاضرات التفاعلية، حيث قدم الأستاذ الدكتور رامي عزيز، أستاذ الميكروبيولوجي والمناعة ومدير معامل مارك للأبحاث، رؤية حول البحث العلمي والتواصل العلمي. كما استعرض الدكتور هاني زويل، الباحث بجامعة كاليفورنيا والمتخصص في الدراسات البينية، موضوع "الطبيعة الديناميكية للزمن" من منظور يجمع بين العلم والموسيقى والفلسفة.
واختُتمت فعاليات الملتقى بتنظيم مسابقة التواصل العلمي لطلاب جامعة العلمين الدولية، والتي شهدت عروضًا تنافسية أمام لجنة تحكيم ضمّت نخبة من الأكاديميين والمتخصصين، وانتهت بإعلان النتائج وتوزيع الجوائز، دعمًا وتشجيعًا للجيل القادم من الشباب المهتمين بنشر العلم.
