MOU Between the BA and the International Islamic University

Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, and Dr. Anwar Hussain Siddiqui, President of the International Islamic University, Islamabad- Pakistan (IIUI), have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster scientific and cultural cooperation between the two institutions.
The MOU stipulates the exchange of publications, periodicals, and scholars between the two institutions; the organization of exhibitions and other events of mutual interest; compilation and translation of books on topics of mutual interest; and the launch of joint academic projects.
This MOU is part of the BA’s endeavors to bridge the gap between different peoples and cultures, and to contribute in the revival and documentation of Arab and Islamic heritage.
