The American Constitution in Cairo Salon

The weekly Cairo Salon TV Show, presented by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, devotes two episodes on the American Constitution. The first part will be aired on Channel One on Friday, 11 June 2010, at 8:30 pm.
 

Serageldin hosts Dr. Said El-Dakkak, Professor of International Law, Faculty of Law, Alexandria University, and BA General Counsel and Director of the Legal Department; and Mohamed Abdel Aziz El-Gindy, Former General Prosecutor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Environment Association.


The episode tackles the American constitutional experience, starting from the American Revolution and Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the issuance of the American Constitution in 1787.
