The Resident Artist (The First Gathering)

Alexandria—The BA will hold the Resident Artist Exhibition from 14 December 2006 until the 13 January 2007 at the West Hall, BA Conference Center.
Seven artists will participate in the exhibition, namely: Jihan Soliman, Wael Abd El-Sabour, Mohamed Fathy Alkady, Hazem Abd El-Khalek, Wia"m El-Masry, Emad Abd El-Wahab, and Ibrahim El-Dousouky. The exhibition is a BA initiative to host artists at the BA to give them an opportunity to innovate and create artistic works related to Alexandria.
Maestro Sherif Mohie Eldin, Director of the BA Arts Center, stated that the exhibition will feature works by the seven artists, in addition to graphic specialists, and sculptors who will be hosted by the BA Arts Center for a month or two. During their stay, artists will create their works, inspired by different activities at the BA and the beautiful city of Alexandria.
