Exhibition: “Egyptian Cults around the Black Sea”

Celebrating the centenary of Egyptian-Bulgarian bilateral diplomatic relations, the BA Antiquities Museum, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Cairo, and the Institute of Balkan Studies and Center of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, organizes an exhibition entitled “Egyptian Cults around the Black Sea” from 10-17 February 2026, in the Hall of Fame, BA Main Entrance.
Through specialized explanatory panels, the exhibition presents collections of archaeological finds from various cities along the Black Sea coast. It also offers visitors a comprehensive and detailed picture of the multifaceted penetration of Egyptian cults into the Black Sea region, through the distribution of selected pieces across seven sections, including inscriptions, written monuments, bone artifacts, terracotta pieces, bronzes, and marble sculptures, as well as precious stones, rings, and coin collections.
