The BA Launches an Archive Documenting the Life of President Sadat

The BA is preparing to launch, at the end December 2008,  a digital archive documenting the life of the late President Mohamed Anwar El Sadat. The archive  takes its users on a historical tour through the web, where they can explore the various aspects of Sadat’s personal and public life, through thousands of photographs;  documentary films;  rare documents; speeches;  well-known  quotations;  as well as the most significant articles about him in  local and foreign newspapers. 
Dr. Khaled Azab, Director of the BA Media Department and supervisor of the project, said that that the digital archive can be browsed through a number of themes: speeches; photographs; documentary films; documents  and publications; in addition to the newspaper archive. Besides, the home page provides access to a complete life-history of Sadat.
Dr.  Azab added that the digital archive provides easy display and  access to all information, through the means of search tools that enable a number of features: a time-line search, a morphological  search, an exact search and an advanced search.
