World Environment Day Celebration at the BA

The BA Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, organized the World Environment Day celebration on Monday, 5 June 2023, with the presence of H.E. Dr. Yasmine Fouad, the Minister of Environment. This year’s celebration was held under the theme “Finding Solutions to Plastic Pollution”.
The celebration included presentations of the Ministry of Environment's projects, which aim to reduce plastic waste and protect the marine ecosystem, and concluded with awards offered to the best hotels in Alexandria that applied plastic waste management.
It is worth mentioning that the Library has cooperated with the Ministry of Environment on several initiatives, projects, events and training programs for students and young people, to raise their awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.
