Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov visits the BA

As part of his official visit to Egypt, President of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov and his wife paid a visit to the BA on Tuesday, 15 March 2016 to acquaint themselves with it as a center for enlightenment and culture in Egypt and the world.
The President was received by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the BA, and Dr. Sherif Riad, Head of the BA External Relations Sector.
President Ivanov toured the BA premises and learned more about the BA activities and programs. President Ivanov’s tour included the Main Library and the Callimachus Triangle where he listened to a description of the BA, in addition to the Our Digital World exhibition, the digital and technological projects, the Internet Archive, the Manuscripts Museum, the Antiquities Museum, the Sadat Museum, and the Culturama show.
President Ivanov had begun his official visit to Egypt on 13 March 2016 and met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to discuss collaboration opportunities between both countries.
