The Moon is our closest cosmic neighbor. It is our faithful companion that follows Earth wherever it goes in its cosmic journey.

The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) is pleased to invite you to participate in our public observing sessions "Hands on the Moon".

We will explore the surface of the Moon with our telescopes, to view its amazing surface features.

 Program

 

 7:00 p.m.: Lecture by Mr Aymen Ibrahem

The program begins at 7:00 p.m. with a lecture "A Trip to the Moon", by Mr Aymen Ibrahem, PSC, Senior Astronomy Specialist, at the Auditorium of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

The lecture is a thorough exploration of the Moon through spacecrafts' images, illustrations and cartoons.

Duration: 60 minutes

Location: the Auditorium

8:00 p.m.: Observing Session

The lecture is followed by the public observing session at 8:00 p.m. In this session, given by Mr Aymen Ibrahem, the participants view the Moon through the PSC's telescopes.
