This lecture will cover the different methods of torture endured by Christians at the hands of Roman emperors during a time when the Roman Empire controlled most of the Christian world. This oppression continued from the 1s^t to the 4^th century CE until the Edict of Milan was issued by Emperor Constantine in 313 CE, ending the era of oppression and leading to the Christianization of the Roman Empire, which is a major turning point in history.

The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Mohamed Saad Abd el-Ghany, Professor of Greek and Roman History and Civilization at Alexandria University.
