The BA Writing and Scripts Center is celebrating its special tribute that took place during the 20th round of the Mohamed Ibrahim School Competition. The celebration is held on Tuesday, 5 March 2024, at 3:00 pm, in the BACC Small Theater.

It is worth noting that the Mohamed Ibrahim School has decided that the competition for the year 2023/2024 would bear the name of the Writing and Scripts Center in honor of the academic, cultural, and artistic role played by the Center since its establishment in 2003, in service of Arabic calligraphy. In this respect, the Center has also presented a range of publications that discuss the history and development of Arabic calligraphy, and shed light on the lives of the most prominent calligraphers.

More than 120 students and Arabic calligraphy artists took part in this year’s competition round.

The event is held under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, and will witness the presence of a group of distinguished calligraphers, members of the Egyptian Society for Arabic Calligraphy and the Calligraphers Syndicate, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, and Egyptian jurors at international Arabic calligraphy competitions.
