1001 Inventions Exhibition: Discovering Our Past, Inspiring Our Future

Under the aegis of the Prime Minister of Egypt, the BA will host the “1001 Inventions” exhibition and its activities in Egypt. The BA has signed a memorandum of understanding with 1001 Inventions and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of the Ministry of Scientific Research to host the exhibition at the BA.

1001 Inventions uncovers over one thousand years of scientific and cultural achievements made by men and women during the golden age of the Islamic civilization, and their impact on scientific and technological development today.

Activities held alongside the exhibition will include films, live shows, hands-on workshops, interactive activities, narrative plays, storytelling of amazing historical figures, lectures, and discussions with scientists and renowned figures.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 20 October to 15 December 2015, except on Fridays and official holidays.

Opening hours will be as follows:

Sundays–Thursdays: 9:00 am–7:00 pm

Saturdays: 12:00 noon–4:00 pm
